The professional fighter’s league showing once again they are the 2nd premier promotion in mixed martial arts, and the first when it comes to servicing Europe and the MENA regions. The PFL announced they will be returning for a 2nd season of the PFL MENA tournament which has been critical in developing and promoting stars in the Middle East and North Africa regions in the sports of Mixed Martial Arts.
MMA is a global sport, with many markets left unserviced for regional talent to get a platform that will allow them to reach an international stage. The PFL MENA helps solve this issue for MENA based fighters and the 2nd season will start May 9th at the Jeddah’s Onyx Arena with PFL formally announcing a partners ship in the Jeddah Season.
The first season of PFL MENA was a huge success in 2024 and the 2nd edition will continue to help expand Mixed Martial Arts in the Middle East by highlighting local talents and giving the regional athletes a clear path to becoming international stars with success under the PFL umbrella.
MMA is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and the PFL MENA partnership with Jeddah Season will help bring world class Mixed Martial Arts to Saudi Arabia joining one of the biggest cultural and entertainment festivals in the country. The Middle East is quickly growing into one of the premier places for Combat Sports and PFL MENA 2 looks to replicate the success they had as part of the Riyadh Season in 2024. Jeddah hosted it’s first major MMA event in 2024, however PFL MENA looks to reignite the city’s sports culture by tapping into the local market of athletes and fanbase for support. Local talent such as Malik Basahel and Ahmed Makki are expected to compete.
