With 10 days left to decide which of the two world Titles Mikey Garcia 38-0 in boxing was planning to defend, Garcia has submitted a written letter to the IBF telling them that he plans on keeping the Junior Welterweight title of the sanctioning body.
Garcia who has won 30 of his 38 fights by KO also owns the WBC Lightweight title, so he is not allowed to hold both at the same time. Back in March Garcia was able to beat Sergey Lipinets by a decision to win the 140lbs title and give him championship belts in four different weight divisions. Last week Garcia sent the IBF official documentation saying he would keep the Junior Welterweight belt.

Garcia will now have a mandatory title defense against Ivan Baranchyk who is 18-0 in boxing with 11 knock outs.
