Imagine the week of Christmas you are with you family getting set to enjoy the holidays when the bad new arrives, that you are no longer a UFC fighter and unemployed. College wrestling sensation and DC teammate Deron Winn received the news that he was no longer with the promotion in a similar fashion.
Winn was to fight Julian Marquez at UFC Vegas 66 but two days prior to the bout he fainted while training at the UFC Performance Institute which caused him to fall down a set of stairs and resulted in a concussion which made having him compete in a professional fight unsafe.

Winn watched as the fight was cancelled and thought that the UFC was going to look to reschedule him sometime in the New Year however he will have to look to rebuild elsewhere as he looks to continue his career as a Mixed Martial Artist.
