Cris Cyborg meets former Presidential Candidate Tulsi Gabbard in Hawaii

Champ Cris Cyborg is currently in Honolulu Hawaii as she prepares for the main event of Saturday’s Bellator 279 event against former 2x World Boxing Champion and #1 Bellator MMA contender Arlene Blencowe.

A Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, Cris Cyborg was the first female MMA fighter to compete in a televised MMA fight in North America and became the world’s first undisputed champion for females in the sport of mixed martial arts when she defeated Gina Carano to capture the Strikeforce Championship.  Now recognized as the sports only Grand Slam Champion by winning Strikeforce, UFC, Invicta, and Bellator MMA gold, Cris Cyborg has dominated for over 17 years as the sports top featherweight.

Tulsi Gabbard who ran for President in 2020 as a democratic nominee was the first Hindu member of Congress and also the first Samoan-American voting member of Congress.  An active Army Reserve officer, Mrs Gabbard served as the representative for Hawaii’s 2nd congressional district from 2013 to 2021 after not seeking re-election in 2020.
