Dana White announced the main event for the June 22nd UFC debut in Riyadh Saudi Arabia is going to be a #1 contender fight between Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev. Whittaker most recently scored a decision win over Paulo Costa while Khamzat Chimaev defeated former Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman in his last outing.
The UFC had originally schedule an event in March however Turki Alalshikh posted a not that it would be delayed to ensure the best caliber talent would be made available and it appears following Ramadan the UFC has done just that!
Other matchups already confirmed for the card include Sergei Pavlovich X Alexander Volkov, Kelvin Gastelum X Daniel Rodriguez, Johny Walker X Volkan Oezdemir and Shara Magomedov X Ihor Potieria.
Cyborg who has been wanting to make a return to MMA will be fighting in a Boxing Match April 27th in Green Bay Wisconsin as the main event of Green Bay Fight Night, however it is rumored her return to MMA will occur in KSA Saudi Arabia when the PFL promotes another PPV event against the Professional Fighters League champion Larissa Pachecho.
