Viva La Raza, as the UFC announces that longtime veteran Kelvin Gastelum will face undefeated prospect Shavkat Rakhmnov in the CO-Main event slot of the Sept. 16th UFC fight night taking place on Mexican Independence Day.
The main event will feature a Women’s a Women’s flyweight rematch between Champion Alexa Grasso and former long tine reigning champion Valentina Shevchenko.
Rakhmonov has finished all 5 of his UFC opponents including Geoff Neal, Alex Oliveira, Michel Prazeres, and Neil Magny by submission with a TKO victory over Carlston Harris.
Gastelum will be returning to the welterweight division after picking up a win against surging Middleweight Chris Curtis by decision at UFC 287 this past April.
