Bellator MMA is starting of the new year in a big way with their debut on CBS! Fans of Cris Cyborg will remember she made her USA debut on the CBS network when she faced former #1 ranked USA Women’s MMA fighter Shayna Baszler.
Bellator 290 features a stacked card starting with the prelims and finishing with the main card on CBS. Former Champion challenger Darrion Caldwell will be stepping into the cage against Nikita Mikhailov to kick the action off on the Bellator MMA Youtube before the main card starts on National TV Channel CBS. Fans who are unable to get to a TV can watch the entire event via Paramount Plus.
The lone female fight on the card features undefeated Diana Avsaragova against veteran Alejandra Lara. Grant Neal will face Swedish Rizing FF and Bellator veteran Karl Albrektsson. Max Rohskopf will put his 7-1 record against Christopher Gonzalez who is 7-2 as a pro. A pair of undefeated Heavyweights in Steve Mowry and former PFL Champion Ali Isaev will also square off before a fight between Henry Corrales and Akhmed Magomedov guarantees fireworks.
UFC Vet Lorenz Larkin will test the undefeated Mukhamed Berkhamov. Bellator 290 will also feature Neiman Graci against Dante Schiro. Team Bodyshop standout Jaylon Bates will battle the 8-1 Jornel Lugo.
The main card on CBS will be kicked off by Brennan Ward against Sabah Homasi in a fight that is going to be all Gas. Champion Johnny Eblen will put his 12-0 record against Anatoly Tokov of team Fedor and the Main event will feature the legend Fedor Emelianenko rematching Bellator MMA Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader. A pair of “postlim” fights have also been added to the card and will take place following the main event.
