Patricio Pitbull Freire stepped up in a big way to surprise the fans in Japan as he was in the country to corner his brother in a scheduled fight against AJ Mckee in the semi finals of the Bellator lightweight 1 million dollar Grand Prize with his brother now scheduled to face a replacement fighter, Patricio himself will also be appearing on the fight card.
Freire the Bellator 145lbs Champion will fight Japanese kickboxer Chihiro Suzuki at a 154lbs catchweight fight on the Rizin portion of the card, just a little more than one month after his fight against Sergio Pettis for the Bellator MMA Bantamweight belt.
The Bellator-Rizin event will be true Co promotion with some of the fights happening inside a ring on the Rizin promoted portion of the event while the Bellator MMA promoted fights will occur inside of a cage. The Bellator MMA portion of the event will be available on Showtime.
