Bellator 259 taking place live from the Mohegan Sun Casino will feature a stacked main card as Cris Cyborg defends her Bellator MMA Grand Slam Championship against perennial top 10 fighter Leslie Smith, in only the 2nd rematch of the historic career of Cris Cyborg.
A Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, Cyborg last faced Leslie Smith 5 years ago when she made her UFC debut in Curitiba Brazil in front of a hometown crowd of 50,000 fans. While that fight occurred at 140lbs, the rematch will take place in an actual weight division–this time as a title defense for Cris Cyborg’s Bellator MMA Championship.
