The UFC looks to have a new Gunslinger in the Featherweight division after UFC Fight Night Seattle. Lerryan Douglas a former Nacao Cyborg and LFA Champion stormed the cage against veteran Julian Erosa scoring a 1st round KO at 3:33 in his UFC debut to pick up his 6th consecutive KO victory.
Defeating Cam Teague on the Contenders Series to earn his UFC Contract, Lerryan Douglas entered into the promotion with high expectations making his first fight as part of the main card for the UFC’s return to Seattle against local UFC veteran Julian Erosa. Displaying solid defense, good leg kicks, and a strong Jab Lerryan controlled the distance until he landed the big shot needed to secure the victory.
Other winners on the night included Alexa Grasso who defeated Maycee Barber with a left cross that left Barber falling into a RNC submission after having already been knocked unconscious. Former UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya lost his 4th consecutive fight as Joe Pyfer secured a rear back mount with punches until the TKO came at 4:18 of the 2nd round. Michael Chiesa pulled off a RNC victory of his own over Niko Price as both fighters announced their retirements after the fight.
Former Glory Champion Yousri Belgaroui picked up a KO win out of the clench by utilizing a knee against Mansur Abdul Malik while Terrance McKinney picked up another first round victory.
Former Bellator MMA fighters went 3-0 on the night with Tofiq Musayev, Lance Gibson Jr, and Tyrell Fortune all securing victories as members of the UFC promotion. Other wins included Casey O’Neil, Navajo Stirling, Ricky Simon, and Alexia Thainara.
