Cris Cyborg made combat sports history last weekend as the only fighter in history to win a major Boxing and Major MMA World Championship simultaneously when the PFL MMA Champion secured the WIBA Super Welterweight belt with her 3rd round TKO victory over Paulina Cardona.

Cyborg who has won World Championship in all 5 of the major MMA promotions including the UFC, PFL, Bellator MMA, Invicta FC, and Strikeforce promotions is currently undefeated as a professional boxer with an 8-0 record.  Having previously won the FMS Pro Boxing Belt, Cris Cyborg’s WIBA Pro Boxing World Championship belt is the fist major world title on her boxing resume.  WIBA has a long historic history in Women’s Boxing with previous champions including Laila Ali, Amanda Serrano, Holly Holm, and Ann Wolfe.

Immediately after her Boxing World Championship win, Cyborg revealed a 2 mthe ruillion dollar challenge to Claressa Shields stating that Cris Cyborg was willing to move up to 160lbs for the SuperFight but stating the fight with Claressa Shields would have to happen before the end of 2026, as Cyborg has announced this will be her final year of competing in Combat Sports.

Cris Cyborg has been undefeated in both MMA and Boxing since her shocking loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 232 back in December of 2018.  With an 8 year unbeaten period in both Boxing and MMA, Cris Cyborg has proven herself to be a world class fighter regardless of the rules.  Only Holly Holm and Cris Cyborg have won belts in both Boxing and MMA with Cris Cyborg being the only fighter to hold championship belts in both sports at the same time.
