Cub Swanson is a veteran of the UFC and his next fight will be his 23rd appearance inside the promotion as he faces striking sensation “Mean” Hakeem Dawodu in an Aug 12th UFC fight Night event inside the UFC Apex.
Swanson who is 39 years of age has gone 3-2 in his last 5 fights. Fighting at 135lbs for his first time last October, Swanson lost to Jonathan Martinez via leg kicks before returning back to the featherweight division for this matchup against the 31 year old Hakeem Dawodu.
Losing his last fight via Decision Hakeem is 6-3 overall in the UFC. With less than half of the experience inside of the cage, Dawodu is looking to get some momentum after starting his pro career 12-1. Currently the main event of the Aug. 12th UFC Fight Night is Rafael Dos Anjos against Vincente Luque.
