Yoel Romero breaks opponents jaw in Bareknuckle MMA debut

At 49 years of age Yoel Romero still might be the scariest man on the planet!  The long time UFC contender has continued his MMA career outside of the UFC and Friday took to the cage for his debut in Jorge Masvidal’s  Bareknhckle MMA promotion.  Having to accept a late minute replacement when his originally scheduled opponent Hector Lombard withdrew from the bout with an injury Romero instead faced UFC veteran Alex Nicholson.

The fight which took place inside the Sephora Arena in Miami was all action even without Hector Lombard.  Who complained of a lack of “time to prepare” for Yoel Romero before removing himself from the fight card.  Alex Nicholson took the fight to Yoel Romero early with aggression landing a big knee to the body before eventually being slammed to the canvas by Romero.

From onto Romero was relentless reigning down punches u til the fight was stopped.  The stoppage appeared early to the crowd until it became obvious that his opponent Nicholson had suffered a fight ending broken jaw and would not be able to continue fighting.  For a 49 year old fighter, Yoel Romero still getting TKO wins. With Bareknuckle MMA, RAF wrestling, on his resume after the UFC, Romero is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
