
Raja Jackson the son of UFC and PRIDE FC legend Rampage Jackson officially entered a “not Guilty” please to his battery charges stemming from an assault on a pro wrestler and could face a possible 7 year prison sentence if convicted. Thursday Raja Jackson entered into the court room and pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of battery and a misdemeanor charge that are a result of his altercation with a professional wrestler during a live wrestling event last August.
Arrested this past September, Raja Jackson made the 50,000$ bail to leave jail until the finalization of his trial. The son of UFC Hall of Famer Quentin Rampage Jackson will return to court for his trial following the arraignment at the District Attorney’s office and their decision to move forward with criminal charges. The strictest sentencing of causing “Great Bodily injury” could produce extra three years to his prison sentence.
With charges now filed it appears Raja Jackson could be facing a potential 7 year prison sentence if convicted with the 25 year old set to return to the courthouse Nov. 24th to start preliminary hearings related to his charges. Raja who has had 1 pro fight was arrested in September as a result of the assault on Stuart Smith during a KNokx Pro event in Los Angeles which was captured on video and went viral. The incident showed more than 20 unanswered punches and lead to Smith falling unconscious before being dragged to safety.
Raja has not publicly addressed the situation and with media following him into and from the courtroom he remained silent flanked by his legal team.
