The professional fighters league continues to invest in the female 125lbs division after signing Viviane Araujo and Ariane Lipski Da Silva the promotion announced the signing of 12 fight UFC veteran Montana De La Rosa.    While full terms of the deal where not revealed it was reported to MMA junkie that the contract is for multiple fights and will be exclusive for the PFL MMA promotion.  No date or opponent was announced for De La Rosa’s first Professional Fighters League fight, however it is expected to happen early 2026.

A member of the Ultimate Fighter season 26 De La Rosa went 6-5-1 in the promotion.  A member of Team Elevation in Colorado, De La Rosa went 2-4-1 in the UFC after starting a red hot 4-0 with the promotion in 2017.  Following a split decision win over Andrea KGB Lee at UFC on ESPN 57 she formally left the promotion.  Now 30 years old, Montana De La Rosa has not fought since being released by the UFC.  While she was scheduled to fight against Luana Carolina this past march the fight did not happen when her Brazilian opponent was forced out of the fight due to weight cut matters.

Wins over Rachel Ostovich, Ariane Lipski da Silva, and Andrea Lee on her record, De la Rosa is expected to compete with the top of the flyweight division in the PFL.  With Dakota Ditcheva and Liz Carmouch the PFL MMA is already establishing a solid 125lbs division for women’s MMA.  Dakota Ditcheva is currently scheduled to fight Denise Kielholtz Feb. 7th when the PFL MMA returns to Dubai.  Do you think Dakota Ditcheva will be able to continue her dominate reign as PFL MMA 125lbs queen?

Cris Cyborg returns to the PFL MMA Dec. 13th in Lyon France to face Sara Collins who is an undefeated fighter currently ranked 3rd in the world after transitioning to the sport of MMA following a long and successful international Judo career which saw her make the national Australian judo team 10 consecutive years.  Cyborg a 17x MMA World Champion will be entering her 20th World Championship fight and will have only 2 fights remaining on her legacy tour before retirement.
