Katie Taylor beats Amanda Serrano for third time in Trilogy

There are very few fighters who have stepped into the ring against each other three different times, even fewer fighters who can claim to have secured victories in all 3 fights.  Katie Taylor now has that claim over Amanda Serrano after the two all time greats put on another spectacular performance for the fans of Boxing.  Katie Taylor who won both the first two fights with controversial score cards pulled ahead in the third fight securing yet another split decision victory with one of the judges scoring the fight a draw.

In front of a sold out Madison Square Garden fight card, Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano headlined an all female fight card which saw a Guinness Book of World Records number of fights on the fight card.  Other notable wins included Shadasia Green pulling off an upset victory over Savanah Marshall, Alycia Baumgardner picking up a win over Jennifer Miranda, Ellie Scotty earned a TKO over Shuretta Metcalf, Chantelle Cameron scored a Unanimous decision over Jessica Camara while Ramla Ali picked up a Decision over Lilia Furtado in a controversial bout and Nakisha Bidarian newest prospect Tamm Thibeault scored a TKO win over Mary Casamassa.

With a stellar fight card the all female event sold out the Maddison Square Garden doing over 2 million dollars in Tickets sales.  The event was broadcast live around the world on Netflix and scored over 6 million viewers from start to finish making it a global commercial success proving that Women’s sports is one of the best small market sports investments possible.
