Khamzat Chimaev dominance reigns at UFC 319

Perhaps one of the most dominate performances we have ever seen in the UFC in terms of position and control.  While we have seen other fighters such as Demian Maia control their opponents into 10-8 rounds with position we have never seen a person do it to a defending champion with 4 of the 5 rounds being scored as 10-8 rounds.

Dricus Du Plessis had no answer other than survival against Khamzat Chimaev who took a 5 round decision to win the UFC Middleweight championship and continue his unbeaten streak at 15-0.   Following the performance Chimaev was promoted to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt.

Lerone Murphy shocked everyone with his spinning elbow KO over Aaron Pico who was aggressive and in control early.  The Spinning elbow KO by Murphy immediately followed Carlos Prates Spinning elbow KO of Geoff Neal.  MVP Michael Venom Page moved up to middleweight for his second fight defeating Jared Cannonier by decision in a crowd entertaining fight.

Ti Elliott moved to 21-13-1 with an upset guillotine victory over former Rizin FF Champion Kai Asakura who is now 0-2 in the UFC after coming into the promotion on a title fight.  Baisangur Susurkaev made his UFC debut with a decision over Eric Nolan.  Michael Oleksiejczuk picked up a 1st round KO over Gerald Meerschaert while Lupita Godinez used all 3 rounds to beat Jessica Andrade by decision.

Alexander Hernandez, Drakkar Klose,  Karine Silva, and Joseph Morales also picked up wins at UFC 319
