Karate Combat has done a great job of building out a brand and a niche in the world of combat sports. Utilizing a unique ‘pit’ which allows fighters to compete with engaging matchups Karate Combat announced they have signed UFC Veteran Uriah Hall to a contract. Hall has always been known for his dangerous kicks and fight of the night knockouts.
Uriaha Hall lost a decision to Julio Cesar Chavez Jr after picking up a win over former NFL Player Le’Veon Bell. With nearly 20 UFC fights on his resume Uriah Hall went 10-9 in the UFC with notable wins over Chris Weidman, Anderson Silva, Antonio Carlos Jr, Gegard Mousasi, Thiago Santos, and Chris Leben he has established himself as a top fan favorite in the sport of mixed martial arts.
Speaking of his standup, “Striking isn’t what I do it’s who I am…precision, timing, control- that the art. Karate Combat gives me the space to let the lion hunt..pure, clean and unleashed.” At the age of 41 Uriah Hall does not have much time left in Combat Sports however he is making the most of his opportunities having transitioned from MMA to Boxing and now into Karate Combat.
Cris Cyborg who has competed in Wrestling, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA, and Boxing has teased of a possible rematch with Jorina Barrs who was undefeated at 44-0 when Cris Cyborg lost a decision to Jorina Barrs in Las Vegas Nevada for the Lion Fight Muay Thai World Championships.
