Nicky Rod to make UFC BJJ Debut this march

Nicky Rod is one of the most popular names in the world of submission grappling and brazilian jiu jitsu.  It was announced during the UFC Mexico Fight Night that the grappling sensation had signed a contract with the UFC BJJ promotion and would be making his debut with the organization at UFC BJJ 6 in the heavyweight division.

a 2x ADCC silver medalist Nicky Rod first jumped into the high level scene as a member of the Danaher Death Squad which later turned into the B team Jiu Jitsu team.  Competing in the inaugural Craig Jones invitation Nicky Rod earned a 1 million dollar cash prize for winning his tournament. World Championship at the Brown and Blue belt levels Nicky also has IBJJF No GI World Championships in 2023 and 2024.  Interesting that it was most recently announced UFC BJJ players would not be able to compete in the upcoming ADCC tournament in Poland.

UFC BJJ 6 will take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and will feature a main event of Mason Fowler against Pedro Machado.  in addition to Ffion Davis taking on Cassia Moura , Ana Rodrigues facing Jasmine Rocha, and Manuel Ribamar taking on Caio Vinicius.
