Gegard Mousasi is one of the all time greats and at only 38 years of age still has a lot of fight left in him despite his back to back losses to Bellator MMA Champion Johnny Eblen and Bellator MMA #1 contender Fabian Edwards  both by 5 round decisions.

With wins over Lyoto Machida, Douglas Lima, John Salter, Austin Vanderford, Rory MacDonald, Alexander Shlemenk on his Bellator MMA resumee and wins against legends like Chris Weidman, Vitor Belfort, Dan Henderson, Thiago Santos, OSP, Babalu, Gary Goodridge, Jacare, Mark Hunt, Dennis Kang, and Hector Lombard on his resume he is considered one of the greatest middleweights of all time.

Despite signing a new deal with Bellator MMA, Gegard Mousasi has been ‘iced’ as he put it having not fought since May 12th of 2023.  Mousasi went on to tell MMA Junkie that ”They don’t want to give me the fight they owe me, But I know from other fighters that made the same, the fought already, there’s no effort from them.”

Speaking with Mike Bohn, Mousasi said “I’m waiting for them to respond and give me a fight. This is my way to send a message to them at least, because it’s difficult to get them on the phone. I have to go media. It’s like UFC cutting fighters and they dind out online. I have to communicate through media with them. It’s Crazy.”

Cyborg who has actively been campaigning for her own MMA return will be fighting April 27th in Green Bay Wisconsin instead because similar to Mousasi she has not been offered a bout agreement. Most recently she was expected to fight Larissa Pacheco in June a date that now seems to move each time Donn Davis publicly communicates through the media.  To get tickets for Cris Cyborg’s return to Boxing with Green Bay Fight Night order here.
