This Saturday we had the amazing card in San Jose, California counting with the fight of Yoel Romero vs. Phill Davis on Bellator 266. In this last event, Bellator had a great fight card including Neiman Gracie vs. Mark Lemminger, DeAnna Bennet vs. Alejandra Lara, Saul Rogers vs. Georgi Karakhanyan, Ben Parrish vs. Christian Edwards, and more fights on the undercard too. The main event was the fight of Yoel Romero vs. Phill “Mr. Wonderful” Davis who was the one to win the fight on Saturday the 18th on Bellator 266. The fight was won by Phill Davis by split decision. Romero did not agree with the results of the fight, however, could not do anything about it so he just took the less. Phill Davis is an American MMA fighter that has been fighting since 2008 and is now fighting on the Light Heavyweight division on Bellator. Davis has some great names on his record, for example, he has fought Alexander Gustafsson, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Lyoto Machida, Anthony Johnson and has won against Francis Carmont, Lyoto Machida twice and he has also had a lot more victories against various great fighters for the last 13 years. The fight was won by a split decision (30-27, 28-29, 30-26). Davis hit Yoel Romero a lot on their feet and used his wrestling skills to take the fighter down more than five times during the fight even tho Romero is a former Silver Olympic Medalist for wrestling and is also very well known for his boxing skills throughout the MMA world by fans and followers of the sport. 

Yoel Romero or also known for being “The Soldier of God” is a Cuban MMA fighter and freestyle wrestler that has been fighting since 2009 and has numerous fights and wins against huge names in the sport like Derek Brunson, Tim Kennedy, Luke Rockhold, Lyoto Machida, Israel Adesanya, and others. He also fights in the Light Heavyweight division on Bellator but has previously fought on other events like the Ultimate Fighting Championship “UFC.  Romero has gotten a silver medal in the Olympics for freestyle wrestling in 2004 representing his home nation of Cuba.
