
The Mexican Monster David Benavidez took the vacated Light Heavyweight Belt when Dmitry Bivol chose not to fight him and now he is set to make the first defense of his WBC light Heavyweight title against Anthony Yarde on Nov. 22nd at the ANB Arena in Riyadh Saudi Arabia.
Benavidez WBC Super Middleweight champion from 2017-2020 and in 1011 he also claimed the WBC Interim Supermiddleweight title. Benvaidez snagged the WBC Interim light Heavyweight title becoming the mandatory challenger and being elevated to full world champion once the champ vacated.
Facing Anthony Yarde who will be fighting for the WBC belt for his second time after losing to Artur Beterbiev by KO in the 8th round. Benavidez is undefeated at 30-0 with 24 of those wins coming by way of KO. Cris Cyborg trains under David Benavidez father Jose Benavidez Sr and is a member of the Team Benavidez boxing team. Currently 7-0 while competing in Boxing, Cyborg is ranked in the top 10 in the world as a professional boxer.
Cyborg who is expected to make her PFL MMA return sometime this year has mentioned her goals of becoming a two sport champion with an MMA World Championships and a wanting a Boxing World Championship at the same time. Do you think Cyborg could win a World Championship in Boxing?
