Cris Cyborg the only Grand Slam Champion in the history of the sport of Mixed Martial Arts made her return to the Professional Boxing ring last Friday night as the Main Event of WFC 163 which took place inside the Pechanga Casino. Facing the #3 ranked female Boxer in the USA, Cyborg showed great improvement after working with Team Benavidez Boxing and landed a devastating 1st round KO just 80 seconds into the fight.
Cyborg who has been vocal about wanting a fight just 36 days following her Boxing KO victory against Kayla Harrison Feb. 24th in Saudi Arabia immediately posted to social that she is still interested in the bout. Fans have wanted to see Cyborg X Judo Kayla since the 2x Olympic Gold Medalist started using Cyborg’s name to grow her brand, however the delay in the matchup appears to be because of Kayla Harrison’s side having turned down the fight offer.
Following her 1 punch KO over Kelsey Wickstrum the Bareknuckle BKFC Champion Christine Ferea entered into the ring with her Championship belt over her shoulder asking for a superfight against the MMA legend. Cyborg who has fought MMA, Boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ, Submission Grappling, Wrestling, had this to say about the prospect of a bare knuckle fight against the champion, “If PFL can not put together the fight with Kayla Harrison, it is my goal to fight Christine Ferea for the Most violent women belt”. What do you say Cyborg Nation? Will we see MMA’s grand slam champion against Kayla Harrison next or will she return to the ring for a bareknuckle fight?
