Cris Cyborg is from Curitiba and started her sports career at age 12, playing handball. Due to his good performance in this activity, he won scholarships in private schools in the capital of Paraná. The athlete studied Physical Education before starting to fight Muay Thai. She had her first MMA fight in 2005. She now resides in the United States, the country that granted her citizenship.
