One of the sport of Boxing’s most prolific personalities, Ben Whittaker returned to the ring to rematch Liam Cameron after their first fight was ruled a draw when both fighters flipped over the top ropes and unable to continue. Whittaker put everything to rest Sunday in Birmingham England as he scored a 2nd round KO over Liam Cameron using a right hand and a flurry of punches that forced the ref to stop the bout.
Following the fight Ben Whittaker was accused of spitting on his opponent corner, which was addressed Sky Sports after the fight. “It was just the emotion. I was like “Yeah, Come on!” Whittaker said. “If a bit of dribble came out…he knows I’d never do something like that.” From the video footage there is no clear view of anything that would support evidence of Whittaker spitting on the corner.
Whittaker took a silver medal at the 2020 olympics held in Tokyo and due to his unorthodox fighting style and his press conference antics has already grown into a fan favorite in the sport of Boxing. Do you think there should be a third fight between Ben Whittaker and Liam Cameron?
