Zuffa Boxing is set to crown their first Boxing Champoion even before the Ali reform act has been finalized.  The fgiht which will take place the weekend of UFC 326 in Las Vegas will feature Jai Opetaia against Veteran Brandon Glanton. Glanton with a record of 21-3 will look to face the undefeated Opetaia who is 29-0 and already signed to Zuffa Boxing.  The current Cruiserweight The Ring and IBF World Champion will look to continue his five straight KO victory streak in the first ever Zuffa Boxing title.

The fight will take place March 8th at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas and will be the fourth Zuffa Boxing event promoted by UFC CEO Dana White.  The event was announced on social media yesterday.  Opetaia was big news when he signed with ZUFFA boxing and this fight will be the first Champion in the ZUFFA Boxing stable ranked #1 in the world currently in the world prior to being named ZUFFA Boxing champion.

Glanton has gone 4-3 in his last 7 fights including wins over Marcus Browne, Alexey Egorov, and Emil Macic.  The odds will have Glanton as a heavy underdog against Opetaia who many consider the best cruiserweight in the world currently active in professional boxing. Zuffa BOxing will take place March 8th the following night after UFC 326 which will showcase Charles Oliveira X Max Holloway for the “BMF” belt.

Cris Cyborg who has been ranked as high as 4th in the world by BoxRec will be returning to the professional boxing ring March 28th as the main event of the Nacao Cyborg event in Curitiba Brazil.  Now 7-0 while competing as a boxer do you think we could see a day when Cris Cyborg competes for a Zuffa Boxing world Title?
