Cris Cyborg set to fight Sara Collins for PFL MMA Championship Belt in France

Cris Cyborg will make her return to the Professional Fighters League Smart Cage December 13th in Lyon France where she will put her Superfight belt on hold for a chance to win the PFL MMA Featherweight division title. Serving as the event’s Co Main event Cyborg will fight under headliner Vadim Nemkov of Russia and Renan Ferreira of Brazil.   Cris Cyborg’s fight will be for the vacant PFL MMA Championship belt as her SuperFight Belt is similar to the one Francis Ngannou captured and is event specific.

The last time Cyborg was inside of the PFL MMA Cage she put on a classic performance against 2x PFL MMA Tournament Champion Larissa Pacheco to win a 5 round decision with a score of 4 rounds to 1 on all three of the judges scorecards.  Staying busy after picking up the PFL MMA win, Cyborg has gone 3-0 in professional boxing and is currently ranked 6th in the world as a female boxer in the Superwelterweight division of 154.

Undefeated at 6-0 Sara Collins spent 8 years as a member of the Australian National Judo team before transitioning into professional MMA.  Now 35, Collins is entering into the prime of her career after notable wins over Jaime Edenden, Former Invicta FC champion Pam Sorenson, Irish combat sports legend Sinead Kavanagh, and former Bellator MMA #1 contender Leah McCourt she has earned her opportunity to fight Cris Cyborg officially being ranked 3rd in the world at 145lbs in WMMA. 

Cris Cyborg who is a 17x MMA World Champion will be looking to officially capture the PFL MMA World Championship belt after securing the PFL MMA World Super Fight Championship last November of Larissa Pacheco. The long time reigning Bellator MMA Champion has gone on to become World champion in the UFC, Invicta FC, and Strikeforce organizations making her the only 5 promotional champion in MMA history—Men or Female fighters.
