Bellator 297 is back with one of the deepest fight cards of the year, regardless of promotion.  The main event features returning champion Vadim Nemkov of Russia face former UFC Champion contender and Olympic Wrestler Yoel Romero in a bout that will guarantee violence.  The Co Main event will feature Patricio Pitbull Freire as he attempts to make Mixed Martial Arts Sports history as the only fighter to hold major world titles in 3 separate divisions when he faces current Bellator MMA champion Sergio Pettis.

Stacked from top to bottom Corey Anderson and Phil Davis will square off in a battle of #1 and #2 ranked contenders with the winner finding themselves one step closer to a chance at Championship gold once again.  Chicago KO specialist Daniel James will face Gokhan Saricam of Turkey as the opening fight on the main card of the SHOWTIME SPORTS BROADCAST.  Following the Prelims join Showtime Sports for the main card.

The prelim fights feature 10 fights with some of the sports top up=and coming talent including Wrestlers Cody Law and Jordan Newman, Irish standout Richie Smullen and Karl More, undefeated Timur Khizriev, Archie Colgan, Norbert Novenyi Jr, Shamil Nikaev, Ramazan Kuramagomedov, and veterans Jaleel Willis, Gadzhi Rabadanov,Bobby Nash, Kyle Crutchmer, and Pieter Buist.
