Bellator MMA returns to San Diego tomorrow with Champions Series

It has been almost 1 year since Bellator MMA was in San Diego when the promotion came for the historic 300th show and featured Cris Cyborg in the CO Main event where she defended her World Championship against Cat Zingano earning her 16th career world championship victory in the process.

Returning Saturday Sept. 7th Bellator Champions Series is the re branded edition of Bellator MMA following the acquisitionby PFL MMA.  The main event will feature Usman Nurmagomedov returning after headlining Bellator 300 to face Alexander Shablily in the main event.  The Co Main event features Lorenz Larkin taking on Levan Chokheli and Douglas Lima returns to face Canadian Aaron Jeffery.

Hawaii favorite Sumiko Inaba will face the undefeated Mackenzie Stiller with fellow islander Yancy Medeiros getting Jora Ayvazyan from Russia. a couple of undefeated prospects in Jordan Newmana nd Imamshafi Aliev faceoff with Masayuki Kikuiri against Herman Terrado.  Bryce Meredith and John Macalolooy will fight with former footballer turned fighter Josh Hokit getting Sean Rose in the 2nd preliminary fight.  Aysia Cortez will face Ashley Thiner to start the nights action.
