Thug Rose wants to Test herself against Mackenzie Dern

The Strawweight division is weak on contenders, and Rose Namajunas has two straight victories over former UFC Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk.  Thug Rose last defeat came in 2016 at UFC 01 when she lost a close split decision against Karolina Kowalkiewicz.  The only other defeats of her career came to eventual UFC Champion Carla Esparza at the TUF 20 finale and Tecia Torres in Invicta FC 6.

Thug Rose speaking to the UFC Unfiltered Podcast had this to say about a possible matchup with newly top 15 ranked Mackenzie Dern, “Other than the weight issue, I thought she looked great. That is something, I’ve always wanted to test my jiu-jitsu against, that would be awesome, I would like to face her. But, she just has to get her sh-t together and that may be down the road.”

Dern who is currently 7-0 has failed to make the 115lbs weight limit for 40% of her professional fights missing the last weigh in by 7 pounds!  Although Dern has been penalized monetarily by the commission, her record has remained in tact and after her 2nd fight in the UFC just made the divisions top 15 rankings.
