Roger Huerta has not won an MMA fight since 2017 and has not competed in professional combat sports since 2021 however it appears the UFC, One Championship, and Bellator MMA veteran will now get to add PFL to his resume.

After starting his career 20-1, Huerta entered into contract negotiations with the UFC as he was ending the terms of his existing contract.  Having become the first UFC fighter to make the cover of the prestigious Sports Illustrated Magazine the Latin talent felt he was worth more than the pay rate he was being offered by the UFC.  Utilizing matchmaking to secure Huerta two of the toughest matchups for the final fights of his contract Huerta went 0-2 losing to Kenny Florian and a split decision to Gray Maynard to finish his UFC career 6-2

Outside of the UFC Huerta picked up wins against Chad Hinton, Christian Holley, Adrian Pang, and Hayder Hassan sandwiched between 10 defeats.  1-6 in the Bellator MMA. Now 41 years of age Huerta will step into the cage once again to face Scotland’s own Robert Whiteford who at 16-5 will move up to 150 pounds for the catchweight fight taking place at PFL first event in Glasgow Scotland being held at the Ovo Hyrdo on Sept. 28th.  The main event will feature Stevie Ray X Lewis long in a welterweight bout.

Cyborg who recently announced she has a signed bout agreement with the PFL will make her return to the sport of Boxing Sept 15th as the Co Main event of Crypto Fight Night taking place inside Inidgo at the O2 in London, Cyborg currently 2-0 will face Aria Wild in 4 rounds of action.
