PFL MMA Ceo John Martin shared the news today that one of the companies biggest stars has re-signed with the organization. AJ Mckee has signed a multi fight deal with the PFL although no terms were disclosed it is an exclusive offer. Mckee last stepped into the PFL MMA cage with a victory in Cape Town South Africa.
The former Bellator MMA Champion took a unanimous decision over Akhmed Magomedov improving his record to 2-1 in the PFL overall and his only loss coming up in the lightweight division by a split decision to top rated Paul Hughes, a victory over Clay Collard is his other PFL performance.
Mckee who has fought both at lightweight and featherweight has a standout of options available to him as he is currently 4-1 at lightweight after returning to 145lbs to get the win over Magomedov. A standout from team bodyshop under the training of his dad Antonio Mckee, AJ won his first 19 fights including a 1st round submission over Patricio Freire to win the bellator 145lbs championship back in 2021.
Mckee who has wins over Roberto Satoshi de Souza, Spike Carlyle, Sidney Outlaw, Darrion Caldwell and Pat Curran on his resume is a solid prospect and a former champion for the PFL to re-sign. AJ Mckee joins Vadim Nemkov, and Dakota Ditcheva as high profile fighters who have remained with the professional fighters league once hitting free agency.
