They were scheduled to fight once before with LFA Lightweight champion Richie Lewis removing himself from a Dec 2024 fight due to injury. Richie Miranda ‘El Machete’ went on to fight Hugo Oyaruz picking up a decision victory on that date as the main event of LFA 198 before having the fight rescheduled.
Richie Lewis came into the LFA 207 fight as a 10-1 betting favorite. A highly acclaimed collegiate wrestler who was 6-0 heading into the fight, many expected Lewis to be able to gain top control and coast to a victory over Richie Miranda. Miranda however had other plans, utilizing strong dirty boxing and defending the takedowns Richie went on to get a stoppage at 2:04 of the 5th round.

With the victory Richie Miranda joins Gilbert Melendez as Santa Ana CA grown world champions. An entertaining fight of the night, main event fighter many experts expect the Bloodlines Combat Sports Agency athlete to be one of the next UFC prospects signed.
