Congratulations to the New York Bad Ass Phil Baroni on another impressive performance, this time with the King Of The Cage promotion in Southern California. Baroni now 42 years old is a veteran of over 30 professional fights and has fought for the world’s premier MMA organizations such as UFC, PRIDE, DREAM, BELLATOR, STRIKEFORCE, CAGE RAGE, Elite XC, One Championship, ICON Sport, Titan FC, Ring Of Fire, and now King Of The Cage in that time.
Baroni has had a tough streak since his hlighlight soccer kick KO of BJJ Black Belt Rodrigo Ribeiro at One FC 5 losing a decision to Hayato Sakurai and suffering an injury during a fight with Nobutatsu Suzuki before losing to former UFC star Kari Parisyan.
Baroni competing at 185lbs face Matt Lagler who has had 27 professional fights wining 14 of them and competing out of the Undisputed boxing gym in the main event of KOTC Under Siege which was shown on MAVtv and featured RIZIN star Andy Nguyen picking up a win in the Co Main event. Baroni needed just 10 seconds to pick the TKO win up after Lagler stumbled against the fence and was met with a barrage of punches from the NYBA. With the fast victory, Baroni will look to continue his march towards the KOTC championship.
