The blue chip rise of Dakota Ditcheva has continued after her most recent dominant performance at the PFL 2023 European finals held in Dublin Ireland. Securing the Thai clench, even without the use of Elbows Dakota Ditcheva was able to use her Muay Thai to land brutal knees on the much shorter, much less experience Valentina Scatizzi. Scatizzi was a willing dance partner moving forward however the much taller and much more skilled Ditcheva made short work of her.
Most likely with a broken orbital Scatizzi’s eye was swollen completely shut forcing the doctor to stop the fight at the end of the first round giving Ditcheva the TKO victory over the now 2-2 Scatizzi.
Other winners on the night included Nathan Kelly, Brett Johns, and Tom Breese with new European Champions Jakob Nedoh, Jake Kaszuba, Khurshed Kakhorov joining Dakota with 100k checks and European Championship Belts with their victories.
Leah McCourt who is an Irish MMA star and the #1 contender next in line to fight Cyborg was working with PFL in a commentator role however no news of a possible matchup against Cris Cyborg in Belfast has been made official despite McCourt making an in cage appearance against Cyborg at Bellator 300.
For Cyborg her next fight is Jan. 19th in Temecula California as she return to the sport of Boxing to face the #3 ranked female fighter in the USA Kelsey Wickstrum. Tickets to the fight at the Pechanga Casino and Resort are currently on sale here.
