Liz Carmouche keeps win streak with PFL debut

Liz Carmouche continues to establish her legacy in the sport of MMA.  A Strikeforce champion, and a Bellator MMA Champion Liz Carmouche came to Bellator MMA as a free agent and has shown she is only getting better with her age.  Facing Juliana Velaasquez in the first round of the PFL Liz Carmouche went on to secure a Decision victory, giving her the rare 3 peat of a Dec, Submission, and TKO victory over her opponent Velasquez.

Others who showcase their skills in San Antonio included Dakota Ditcheva keeping her undefeated streak in tack with her 1st round TKO finish over Lisa Mauldin.  The other favorite top favorite in the women’s flyweight tournament would be Taila Santos who secured a 1st round submission win over Ilara Joanne.  Fellow grappler Jena Bishop and Kana Wantanabe also secured 1st round wins in the PFL tournament.

The night showcased the Heavyweight division as well with Denis Goltsov getting a TKO victory over Linton Vassell while Daniel James rematched Marcelo Golm-two veterans that have come over from the Bellator MMA roster.  Currently Cris Cyborg is scheduled to fight a boxing match April 27th as the main event in Green Bay Wisconsin, however she has been actively calling for a superfight with PFL tournament champion Larissa Pacecho who owns a win over UFC 300 newcomer Judo Kayla.
