It’s Dione Barbosa X Miranda Maverick fight week #UFCVegas

Team Cyborg’s favorite Judoka Dione Barbosa will be returning for her 2nd appearance inside the UFC Octagon this Saturday as she battles the highly regarded Miranda Maverick in a short notice replacement bout following Tracy Cortez removal to face Rose Namajunas.

Barbosa who is 7-2 in MMA has currently won 4 fights in a row following her decision loss to PFL Playoff Semi Finalist Jena Bishop in 2021.  Decsions over Ernesta Kareckaite, Jessica Middleton, and Mariana Piccolo and an armbar victory over Rainn Guerrero on DWCS.

Maverick is 13-5 overall and this will be her 10th UFC fight.  Competing out of Team Elevation in Denver Colorado Maverick has never been finished in her MMA career and has won 4 out of 5 following back-to-back losses to Maycee Barber and Erin Blanchfield in 2021.

Dione Barbosa a training partner of Cris Cyborg for several camps recently re-located from California to Las Vegas and did a majority of her training camp at the performance institute however Cyborg has made the trip from Brazil to corner Barbosa at UFCFight Night Lemos Vs Jandiroba
