Dakota Ditcheva had a red hot 2024 winning the PFL Europe and PFL World Tournaments however 2025 was a bit of a slow year with her only having fought once before eventually re signing with the Profesional Fighters League. Scheduled to appear on the PFL MMA Dubia Fight card, news recently broke that Dakota Ditcheva’s 2026 campaign is going to be on delay.
Dakota who was to fight on the Road to Dubai February 7th fight card against former Bellator MMA Champion contender Denise Keilhotlz who is considered one of the top female kickboxers to transition to MMA. While an undisclosed injury has forced Dakota Ditcheva out of the fight card, sources close to the situation have confirmed it is her right hand which appears to have been fractured.
A heartbroken Dakota Ditcheva took to social media to publicize her frustrations. Fans will recall Cris Cyborg challenging Dakota Ditcheva to a super fight at the 135lbs division following her victory over the #3 ranked Sara Collins to defend her PFL MMA Featherweight Championship belt. No immediate response from Dakota Ditcheva has been provided however an injury theoretically would give her more time to adjust to the Bantamweight division if the PFL MMA is able to make the fight.
Dakota Ditcheva is a very talented Flyweight and similar to how Valentina Shevnchenko fought Amanda Nunes twice in the Bantamweight division, Dakota has an opportunity to move up in weight and fight a larger opponent with a zero risk all reward type of matchup against an against striker in Cris Cyborg. Do you think Dakota Ditcheva and Cris Cyborg give the fans an MMA super fight with PFL MMA?
