Vadim Nemkov put a stamp on his name with his latest performance in front of a sold out Bellator Chicago arena. Nemkov who defeated the former UFC Title Challenger via unanimous decision has now won 11 fights in-a-row with is last defeat coming in Japan in 2016. A student of Fedor Emelianenko Nemkov has wins over Bellator Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader, 2x Phil Davis, former PFL Champion Philipe Lins, and UFC veteran Goran Reljic on his resume.
The consensual #1 in the world had been UFC Champion Jon Jones however with is most recent claim to UFC Heavyweight and having vacated the belt, Jones is no longer eligible to be considered. While Jiri Prochazka has a victory over Vadim Nemkov that was a 10 minute first round, and Jiri has 3 losses on his record including a KO to King Mo and is currently out of action with an injury. Current UFC LHW champion Jamahal Hill was submitted by Paul Craig and was not even a professional in MMA when Vadim Nemkov started his win streak.
While Vadim Nemkov might not be the undisputed at LightHeavyweight, Bellator MMA has proven they have the deepest division in the sport with Phil Davis, Corey Anderson, Yoel Romero, Grant Neal, Alex Polizzi, Luke Trainer and more currently signed to the roster.
