
With news that Max Holloway was injured and no longer facing Frankie Edgar as the main event of UFC 222, fans were left wondering who was going to step up and save the main event for the PPV.
Not wanting to disappoint the fans, Cris Cyborg less than 8 weeks after her last fight against Holly Holm accepted the challenge and will be facing former World Champion Yana Kunitskaya of Russia March 3rd at the T-mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Tickets are currently on sale for UFC 222. Frankie Edgar who no longer had an opponent with the withdrawal of Max Holloway, will now face undefeated grappling sensation Brian Ortega in a super fight.
UFC 222 will feature many big names on the card including, Stevan Struve, Andrei Arlovski, Cat Zingano, Ketlen Viera, Mackenzie Dern, Beneil Dariush, John Dodson, Pedro Munoz, Hector Lombard, CB Dollaway, and Bryan Caraway.
