Dillon Danis calls for Ben Askren fight after BELLATOR 198 win

Dillon Danis has 1 win under his belt, and he is already calling for a fight with former BELLATOR MMA and current One Championship welterweight champion Ben Askren.  Askren who is a former Olympic Gold Medalist in Wrestling has a perfect 18-0 record in MMA having TKO’d Shinya Aoki in his last fight.

Askren last fought in Bellator MMA at Bellator 97 when he TKO’d Andrey Koreshkov before signing with One Championship to make his promotional debut at ONE FC 16. after 7 fights for the One Championship promotion including 6 wins and a NC, Askren effectively announced his retirement from the sport barring a major opportunity against a premier name.

Dillon Danis is only 1-0 in his professional MMA career and beat a Kyle Walker who is now 2 and 4 in his professional debut, utilizing a guard pull to a foot lock submission transition to get the win. While Danis might feel confident in his win, it seems he will need to face someone who has an established record before calling out someone of Askren’s pedigree.
