Lagoinha Baptist Church is one of the largest congregations in Brazil, the Charismatic Baptist Evangelical has a ‘megachurch’ located in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais in Brazil where a staggering 50,000 members enjoy service each week. Marcio Valadao is the current senior pastor of the church which has become known for their ministries and the worship ministry Diante Do Trono which is one of the world’s largest ministries of praise, worship, and mission. The main services are broadcasted on TV, Radio, and the internet around the world and they are affiliated with the Convenacao Batista Nacional and Baptist World Alliance.
Lagoinha Church in Orlando is one of the largest Brazilian congregations in the USA and they are regularly servicing the communities around the helping bring the worship and religion to those seeking the truth. While in Orlando training with Brazilian strength and conditioning coach Rafael Alejarra, Cris Cyborg received an invitation to share her testimony with the members of the Lagoinha Orlando Youth Ministries.
Cyborg who is a passionate Christian Athlete took then time to share her life journey and discovery of the savior Jesus Christ as she told her of her own experiences which led her as a handball player in Brazil into becoming the only Grand Slam Champion in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts by becoming the Bellator MMA, UFC, Invicta FC, and Strikeforce World Champion. Cristiane Justino who is a christian believer had this to say about the experience at Lagoinha Church in Orlando, “It was amazing to see so may passionate young youth who are on fire for their lord and savior Jesus Christ. I could feel the holy spirit in our presence.”
