The Conor McGregor story appears set to write another chapter as the Combat Sports Icon took to his social media to announce that he will be returning to the UFC for a June 29th south in Las Vegas against former Bellator MMA Champion Michael Chandler.  No official confirmation from the UFC has been given as of yet.

“I’d like to announce the return date for myself, ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor, The greatest comeback of all time will take place in Las Vegas International Fight Week of June 29th. The opponent, Michael Chandler, and the weight, Mr. Chandler, 185 pounds.”

Chandler did not seem to worried about the 185lbs callout, saying to ESPN that he would accept the fight 155, 170, or 185lbs. Conor won belts in the UFC at both 145lbs and 155lbs and Chandler was the 155lbs champion in Bellator MMA at one point with all 5 of his UFC fights having taken place at 155lbs in so far.  McGregor has competed once at 170lbs where he faced Cowboy Cerrone.
