Forget 2 gold medals, Claressa Shields is now after two entire boxing divisions as a professional. Already considered a unified Super Middleweight Champion, Claressa will return to Showtime boxing to face Hana Gabriels for the vacant IBF and WBA Middleweight Championship in Detroit Michigan.

Claressa will be moving down a weight class, while Gabriels will be moving up a weight class, so that both fighters will meet in the middle. This will be Claressa Shields 6th professional fight and she will be looking to become a two weight class champion with the victory.
Shields said, “I an’t wait to get in the ring on June 22nd, I love the fight against Hanna Gabriels-champion Versus champion, exactly the kind of fight that I want overtime to take women’s boxing to new heights. I’ve said one of my goals is to win world championships in three weight divisions. I’m proud to be. Super Middleweight champion and on June 22 I will add the middleweight championship to my accomplishments.”
