Aljamain Sterling picks up Split Decision Win over Henry Cejudo

Aljamain Sterling defended his UFC Bantamweight Championship belt for a record 3rd straight time placing him 1st amongst all UFC Bantamweight Champions for consecutive title defenses.  Sterling used a good range of unorthodox strikes to keep Henry Cejudo on the end of his long reach before scoring against the fence by getting to the back of Henry Cejudo.

The Co Main event of UFC 288 saw Belal Muhammad place himself as the #1 contender after a decision victory over Gilbert Burns. Belal is expected to face the winner of Leon Edwards and Colby Covington for the UFC Belt.

Other winners included Xiaonan Yan who Ko’d Jessica Andrade with a violent counter strike wile Movsar Evloev secured a tough fought victory over Diego Lopes who accepted the bout on 5 days notice. Caludio Ribeiro, Ikram Aliskerov, Parker Porter, Virna Jandiroba, Kalin Williams, Kennedy Nzechukwu, Matt Frevola, and Charles Jourdain were other winners on the night.
