In terms of accolades by women competing in combat sports in the middle east it does not get better than young prospect Al Hammadi who has won youth world championships in MMA and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has now signed a contract to continue her amateur development in Mixed Martial Arts inside of the PFL SmartCage.
“I’m happy that I’ve signed with PFL MENA and it’s a pleasure for me to be part of the PFL Family,” Said Al Hammadi. “I’m happy to represent my country on a global stage like the PFL and Inshallah, God willing help me achieve all my dreams. At only 17 years of age Al Hammadi is the youngest fighter on the PFL MMA roster. Al Hammadi won IMMAF Youth World Championship and JJIF World Youth Championships in 2023 and is currently 2-0 in amateur MMA.
Al Hammadi comes from a family of martial arts with her mother being Judo and Jiu Jitsu player Nada Al Nuaymi and her sister Ghala is also a decorated MMA fighter and Grappler. 17x MMA World Champion Cris Cyborg had this to say about PFL MMA’s recent signing, “I love to see the female talent that is in the MENA region. Al Hammadi comes from a family of Martial Artists and I am excited to see her continue the legacy inside of the PFL MMA cage. Cyborg made history last October in the Riyadh Saudi Arabia with her PFL MMA Championship victory over Larissa Pacheco last October which was the first World Championship fight in the history of Mixed Martial Arts to take place in the middle east featuring two women fighters.
