Hard work and one foot in front of the other, that is the only way to complete a long journey. MMA Super Grand Slam Champion Cris Cyborg is attempting to do something that has never been done in combat sports, as she looks to become the first fighter to hold World Championships in both Boxing and MMA at the same time.
a 17x MMA World Champion, Cris Cyborg most recently defeated Larissa Pacheco in her PFL Debut to capture the PFL MMA Superfight Championship which sits besides the Bellator MMA, UFC, Invicta FC, and Strikeforce Championships on her resume. While most would be satisfied with those accomplishments, Cyborg continues to strive to achieve more.
Looking to compete as a professional boxer, Cyborg most recently returned to action with a 4 round superfight against the top female fighter in the country of Colombia. Facing Karen Fernandez in Santa Marta Colombia, Cyborg showcased improved boxing skills as she controlled the first round utilizing a strong jab before turning up the pressure in round 2 and scoring a bodyshot KO. Now 3-0 in professional boxing with 2KO’s in addition to a 2-0 Boxing Exhibition record, Cyborg made the world rankings at BoxRec as the #13th best female Boxer in the World.
