The video might be from 2018, however with the way the internet works it just surfaced at Latvian fighter Arthur Ahmetovs shared the clip of him sparring with “The GWOAT” from back in 2018 ahead of her fight with Hannah Gabriels a bout where she also visited the canvas.

Shields went absolutely nuclear when the video of the sparring was shared online.  The 14-0 fighter who has 13 world titles has maintained the higher less competitive weight divisions for female boxing rather than focusing on nutrition and diet to get her down to the more competitive weight categories associated with Women’s Boxing.

Having transitioned to MMA, Shields is 1-1 in the sport losing her last Mixed Martial Arts bout to Abigail Montes a 23 year old MMA fighter from Mexico who went 2-3 in the promotion before being released by the PFL.

It is unclear whether Shields returned to her feet and continued the sparring session, she did give an interview live where she accused Ahmetovs of removing padding from his sparring gloves, a statement boxing coach Derik Santos admittedly denied.

Shields currently does not have an MMA or Boxing fight announced.  Claressa called out Cyborg earlier this year challenging her to a Boxing fight but was not willing to meet the 16x MMA Champion in her weight of 145lb.  Cyborg returns to the Boxing ring Jan. 19th in Temecula CA against the #3 ranked female fighter in the USA.  To watch Cyborg fight live get your tickets here.
