Terence Crawford has proven himself as one of the all time greats in the sport of professional boxing but despite his background in High School wrestling shot down any potential cross over fight into the sport of MMA against Conor McGregor.
In two different interviews both fighters revealed that Sheikh Turki Alalshikh offered them a two-fight agreement with one being a boxing fight and one of them being an MMA bout. McGregor went on to say it was hundred’s of millions of dollars as Alalshikh is the chairman of the Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority.
McGregor who fought Floy Mayweather in professional boxing already said he was ready for the bout, however Crawford went on to say “they offered me the fight, I’m not getting in no f–ing Octagon,” in a conversation he had with Conor McGregor and recalled for media.
Cris Cyborg who is fighting Oct. 19th in Saudi Arabia at Battle of the Giants in Riyadh has already had a couple of Boxing fights. The potential of an MMA and Boxing double series between Cyborg and Claressa Shields might be a more likely outcome.
