Shane Mosley Jr. delivered the biggest performance of his professional career on May 10, stopping Serhii Bohachuk in a dramatic sixth-round knockout victory at Zuffa Boxing 06 inside the Meta Apex in Las Vegas. The win instantly elevated Mosley Jr.’s standing in the middleweight division and gave the surging Zuffa Boxing promotion one of its most memorable main events to date.

Entering the fight as a sizable underdog, Mosley Jr. was expected by many to struggle against Bohachuk’s relentless pressure and proven knockout power. Instead, he produced a composed, violent, and technically sharp performance that blended patience with perfectly timed counters. From the opening bell, Mosley Jr. established his jab and lateral movement, refusing to allow Bohachuk to dictate the pace early. Bohachuk still found moments to land hard right hands and force exchanges, but Mosley Jr. consistently answered back with cleaner combinations and sharper accuracy.

By the third and fourth rounds, the fight evolved into an all-action battle. Bohachuk attempted to drag Mosley Jr. into a firefight, pushing forward behind heavy hooks and body shots. Rather than retreat, Mosley Jr. stood his ground more frequently and began landing crisp counters in between Bohachuk’s combinations. The exchanges became increasingly intense as both fighters traded in the pocket, but Mosley Jr.’s timing and defensive awareness began separating him from the aggressive Ukrainian challenger.

The turning point came in round six. After steadily slowing Bohachuk with body work throughout the fight, Mosley Jr. landed a clean sequence that visibly hurt him before detonating a right hook that sent Bohachuk crashing to the canvas. Although Bohachuk beat the count, he was badly compromised, and Mosley Jr. immediately swarmed him with another barrage of punches. The referee stepped in at the 2:38 mark of the round, awarding Mosley Jr. a stunning technical knockout victory.

The emotional victory carried extra significance for the Mosley family legacy. Hall of Fame champion Shane Mosley and legendary trainer Jack Mosley were both present cageside to witness the breakthrough performance. For a fighter who had suffered a setback against Jesus Ramos Jr. in late 2025, the victory represented both redemption and validation.

Mosley Jr. did not waste time capitalizing on the moment. During his post-fight interview, he called out unbeaten Irish star Callum Walsh, another major name attached to the Zuffa Boxing roster. The callout immediately created intrigue because Walsh has quickly emerged as one of the promotion’s centerpiece attractions after victories over Fernando Vargas Jr. and Carlos Ocampo. A potential clash between Walsh and Mosley Jr. would instantly become one of the most compelling matchups Zuffa Boxing could make at middleweight.

With the upset victory, Mosley Jr. not only revitalized his own career but also positioned himself as a legitimate contender within Zuffa Boxing’s growing stable of headline fighters. If the Callum Walsh fight materializes, Mosley Jr. will enter it with newfound momentum and the confidence that comes from stopping one of the division’s most dangerous punchers.
